You may notice in the pictures below that we have some clothes hanging in the kitchen... It turns out not every Londoner believes in having a clothes dryer. So our place generally smells like Tide, which is actually pretty nice. You may also notice that we have a view of a brick wall, which is because we are looking out on the inside courtyard of an apartment block. This is actually very nice because we get hardly any street noise. Our block also has a porter (sort of like a live-in handyman) which is great because he can take deliveries for us and what not.
We are in the process of decorating our place with all our pictures, etc, and will make another post about that soon. In the meantime, come and visit to check it out for yourself!

your new home looks quite modern and I guess it's no surprise that we don't see the relatives' bedroom! once you've figured out the most cost effective and comfortable lodging for your poor relations, we look forward to a visit!
cheers
Oh, so jealous am I. If only there was such affordable culture hopping over here. What a view from the last apartment! But nice neighborhood with Notting Hill as well. So keep the pictures and stories coming from all the future trips I'm sure you'll take. Ireland is a must and I'd say Paris as well. But those are simple weekend trips any time! And if YOU need any suggestions on places to stay in Paris, Dublin or Cork, I've got them. :) I've also got peeps in London and the general area if you ever get lonely. I'm sure they'd revel in having a beer with Americans they can talk politics with. Thanks for starting the blog! I was beginning to wonder what you were up to!
Wow, we're impressed! It sounds like you guys are having the time of your life. So, you now know the true meaning of pivo (or in Polish, piwo, like our weiner dog.) Speaking of weiners, I can't understand how you can't find the famous English dish we so often spoke about. ;) We hope to visit sometime soon. We warn you, we will have a little one with us as we are expecting and due on March 25th!
Cheers to you two!
Your place looks super cute. We definitely want to come visit! So jealous you are in Notting Hill! They have the best street market ever!
